Elegantly formed shop window display lamps made in England by GEC - General Electric Company. c.1920.

Branded as GecoRay, these lights would have adorned high-end retail shop window displays in the early-mid 20th Century with original copper gallery, with ingenious cog adjustment. Fabulous water marked patina to the reflective glass insides. GecoRay printed branding remains to the outside of some lamps. Can be desk, floor, wall or ceiling mounted. Price is per lamp.

Can be rewired with 1m of black twisted flex and BS 3-pin plug or you can wire direct to mains.

About the maker
GecoRay is a model of lighting intended for the mid-century shop display market designed by the General Electric Company (GEC). They were often made of painted glass, some with a prismatic or ribbed finish to enhance the throw of light and had copper or aluminium galleries. Often the lamp holders could be adjusted making them an incredbly versatile lamp and perfect for their intended purpose.
