Industrial Brick Kiln Shelf Table
A characterful Industrial table combined from a heavy duty solid mahogany brick kiln shelf and cast iron machine base with a stunning patina from Dening & Co LTD Chard C.1960
The mahogany top would have originally been used in a UK brickworks sometime throughout the 20th C. and has been sanded and finished with a clear natural wax to retain the patina and protect the wood for continued use. The underside has been lightly sanded and cleaned to allow the new owner to potentially finish in a manner of their choosing. The outer boards show exposed retention hardware with the opposite edges boasting steel end caps.
A wonderfully simple and unique family sized table that oozes industrial charm.

About the maker
Dening & Co LTD Chard were producers of agricultural and woodworking machinery originating from Crimchard Works, Chard, in Somerset after being founded in the early half of the 19th Century.
By 1937 Dening & Co were both Engineers and iron founders whom began to produce equipment such as bandsaws and circular saw benches. The light pattern saw bench (pictured right and forming the base for this table) was produced and advertised by them as early as 1938.
